Meet Our Beauty Pros - A Series

Hi Beauty Pros! It’s so good to see you again! This week we’re making things more personal. We like to say that BCC is not just a salon and suite space. We’re a community of Beauty Professionals who specialize in different parts of the beauty industry. We have so many talented individuals in our community that we would like to highlight and introduce you to!

Meet Tim Moreno

Tim is one of our Beauty Professionals who joined our community in 2024 and specializes in barbering. You always know when Tim is around as he is always putting a smile on everyone’s face! He’s such a pleasure to have in our community! We’re so happy to find time with Tim to get to know him better, learn about his journey in barbering, how he found his way into BCC and more!

Hi Tim! “Hey!” Thank you for meeting with me today! We’re highlighting the Beauty Professionals in our space and showing all the talent we have here at BCC. “That’s cool I like that.” Yes definitely! It’s nice to show how much we have to offer here. So to start off, what sparked your interest about the industry? “I always had interest in it ever since I was younger. My grandpa used to be a barber so I took a lot of inspiration from him.”

Oh that’s great! I love whenever family inspires us. What made you decide to work at BCC? “I was looking to leave the barber environment. Being in the LGBT community - it was important to feel comfortable.” I agree. Being in a comfortable, safe environment is important. What is your favorite part about working at BCC? “I like how easy it is to have your own business and the amenities.” Yes, the space and amenities are a great perk!

Now we’d like to know more about barbering. How would you describe your working style? “I would say I’m flexible and open minded to any ideas my clients have.” That’s great and such a benefit when working with a variety of people! What would you say is your goal for your clients? “I like to make sure that everyone who leaves feels good about themselves after.” Love that! Feeling confident when walking out of a salon is the best feeling. What do you enjoy most about your clients? “I love that my clients feel like friends. We can chat about anything and enjoy the hour together.” Yes! We love a good yap session or a little bit of therapy during appointments *laughs*

I have one more question for you and it of course has to be about this since we all love our drinks and snacks here! What is your go-to drink/snack while working? “*laughs* Usually I go to a local coffee shop nearby home or work. Mostra Coffee around the corner is good.” You’re right! Mostra Coffee is one of our go-to’s here! We even made a mini vlog about it on our social media!
